I have also included others, such as boarders or lodgers on census returns and sometimes a witness to a marriage. I find that this comes in useful occasionally, as it may turn out, for example, to be someone’s in law or future spouse and may lead to another connection, and further research .

Alan at Sandiway

Our Father, Alan Bostock CHRIMES is a descendant of John Chrimes of Norley in Cheshire so the majority of information will relate to them. These dates will usually contain a ‘statistical – mathematical’ reference as a source of the information. (GRAMPS source reference = S0193) A similar format is also used to estimate a persons date of birth, date of marriage. For example if an individuals date of birth is not known but a marriage date of say, 1923 can be found, then the date of birth for that person may be recorded as before1923.

Acknowledgements:

Sue & Terry Byrne & family (Cheshire)

David Chrimes Link to David’s site (Cheshire)

Pat Chrimes & family (Cheshire)

Sharron Chrimes (Kenilworth)

John Lewis (Germany)

Brian Maddock (U.S.A.)

Sandra Marris & family (Hampshire)

Chris O’Dowd (Australia)

This research is based on the CHRIMES family of Norley and the DAVIES family of Runcorn and Northwich. The number of individuals researched as of January 2022 stands at 1269 and there are 305 unique surnames. 19% or 257 of those names are ‘Chrimes’ and 3% or 51 have the surname ‘Davies’ We use the […]

["post-2","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
